The living space comprises a huge open kitchen with central island, a windowed dining area that is separated from a comfortable lounge area by a central open fireplace and a second lounge area with TV and games. Downstairs there is a games room with full-size indoor table tennis table. Outside there are several terraced areas with dining options allowing you to make the most of the morning, afternoon and evening sunshine. On the evening terrace you will find a built-in brick barbecue and a privacy screen that serves as a wind break against the “bise”that occasionally blows through the mountains. There is plenty of easy parking and loads of storage space for skis, boots, mountain bikes and mountaineering equipment.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
On the upper floor you will find two large double rooms and a large twin room. One of the doubles has an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink & WC. There is a large family bathroom with sink, bath and separate shower enclosure sink and there is also a separate WC. On the main living floor there is a guest WC. On the lower floor you will find a large bunk room with bunks for 4 people and plenty of space for children to play. The bathroom on this level is fitted with a shower enclosure, sink and WC. Equipment
The kitchen is fully fitted to meet the needs of cooking for large groups, including a fridge/freezer, separate freezer, oven and hob. There is a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric filter coffee-machine, Nespresso coffee-machine plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. A washing machine, dryer, iron and hairdryer are available, and there is a portable barbecue for outdoor use as well as the built-in brick barbecue. There is an indoor table tennis table (bats and balls loaned on demand) and sufficient boot heaters to keep up to 10 pairs of ski-boots warm and dry.
Relaxing
It’s hard not to relax in this mountain haven, when facing the stunning panoramic views for which the resort of La Tzoumaz is well-known. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, from the floor of the Rhone Valley up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, and in the other direction towards the legendary Vallon d’Arby and its un-pisted ski itinerary. Take a comfortable seat in one of the two lounge areas with a glass of local wine at the end of a hard day on the slopes and soak up the mountain calm. After dinner, linger a while at the wooden dining table to admire the warm glow of the large open fireplace that provides a dividing feature from the lounge area. In the evening your privacy is guaranteed as the electric blinds will close on the windows at the touch of a button. If you are in need of distraction, there are plenty of games to entertain both young and old and the the flat-screen TV/DVD player in the TV room shows a broad range of international channels. On a fine day, it is easy to lose yourself in the warm sunshine of the garden and various terraces so let your mood guide you on where to place your deckchair.

Pets
We’re sorry but this is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
Parking
Parking for three or more cars outside the chalet. Winter tyres and/or snow chains necessary in winter due to frequent snow falls. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.
Winter
The free ski bus will collect you from a bus-stop less than 300m from the door, and whisk you to the Savoleyres telecabin in a matter of minutes. The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
Summer
In the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins.
We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
