Summer

In the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts.  The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. 

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. The warm and welcoming Apartment L’Armailli sleeps up to 6 people across its three bedrooms. Situated centrally, it is an easy walk to the main telecabin and resort centre. The apartment’s wooden beams and stone interior provide a welcome respite from the snow after a long day on the slopes. An open-plan dining and living area allows friends and families to pass long evenings next to the log fire. Right on the doorstep of Apartment L’Armailli is open space, making it wonderfully simple to step outside of the front door and into the beautiful mountains of La Tzoumaz.

The apartment sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms, one with a modern ensuite and shower, and a bunk bedroom.

There is also a separate bathroom with a shower bath.

This apartment is ski-in and ski-out (and sledge-in and sledge-out)! During the ski season, you only have to step into the shuttle cabin from the car park and you are carried the 80m uphill to the piste. From here you only need to ski (or sledge) 300m down the main piste and you arrive at the Savoleyres telecabin. At the end of the last run of the day, don’t forget to stop before the end and hop into the shuttle cabin to be carried the last 80m to your door. The main piste is not accessible to complete beginners, who would need to walk the 300m to the ski-school meeting point at the telecabin.

Built in 2012, the chalet accommodates ten people in luxurious comfort. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower floor and two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper floor. In the middle floor is a wonderful double height living / dining / kitchen area with a big open stone fireplace. Large windows look across the valley and open onto the spacious balcony and terrace. Facing the dining table, the large cooking island is the perfect spot for the social cook. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod-cons such as an electric filter coffee machine, a Nespresso coffee machine, conventional and microwave oven, dishwasher, American fridge and separate freezer. There are also two high chairs for the kids. Overlooking the living area, the mezzanine has an iMac computer and WiFi, IPOD docking station, widescreen TV and Wii and the chalet is well stocked with books, dvd’s, toys and games providing varied entertainment for all ages.

Relaxing and Sleeping

If it’s peace and quite you’re after then the sauna is the place to relax. And ensuring a good night’s sleep, comfortable boxspring beds are made-up for your arrival with crisp percale cotton sheets Most beds can be arranged as either twin or double to suit your needs. Soft bathrobes, hairdryers and large towels complete the focus on quality and comfort. For those holidaying with small children a travel cot is available. Chalet Alexia is most practical if you have a car. The chalet is located 300m below the lift and the village. It’s a challenging walk up hill with your skis – not easy for children, but doable for adults. Good skiers can then ski back from the pistes to the front door. If you’re not up for the walk, the easiest way is to drive to the large parking located above the children’s ski school, park the car and ski down to the lift. You can then ski back to the car at the end of the day.

A fantastic choice of chalet to rent in La Tzoumaz Chalet Anna is a 4-bedroom property with a huge glass wall front and is only a 600m walk to the main telecabin and the resort centre.  This bright and comfortable chalet overlooks the stunning panoramic views of the valley and mountains.  Equally popular in summer and winter this is a fabulous chalet in a great location.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Comfortably sleeping 8 people in total, there are three twin bedrooms and one double bedroom with wooden beams across the ceiling.

There are three bathrooms in total, two with shower, sink & WC, and one with bath & overhead shower, sink and WC.  There is also a separate guest WC.

If you wish to travel with children under 2 years old, just let us know and we will provide a cot and a high chair for your chalet.

Equipment

The main floor of this bright and open-plan chalet is a double-height open kitchen/living/dining area with wood-burning stove and underfloor heating.  The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for large group catering, including a dishwasher, electric coffee machine, Nespresson coffee machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, hob and separate freezer.  There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire.  Washing machine, hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use.  A ski room with heated boot dryers helps you to keep all your snow sports clothing and equipment organised.

Relaxing

It’s hard not to relax in front of the huge panoramic feature windows of this magnificent chalet.  Take a seat on the large and comfortable corner sofa with a glass of local wine at the end of a hard day on the slopes.  The plasma TV is equipped with Cable-TV and a DVD player and there are a handful of DVDs to watch .  Also very popular in summer, Chalet Anna has a small grassy area on each side of the chalet and balcony areas with table and chairs, just perfect for a barbecue.  On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, and in the other direction towards the legendary Vallon d’Arby and its un-pisted ski itinerary.

Chalet Aramis is a delightful 4-bedroom chalet with outdoor jacuzzi, with incredible views across the Rhone Valley and to the Bernese Alps. The bright and open living space on the main floor comprises separate areas for cooking, dining and relaxing, and features an enclosed fireplace. This centrepiece room is exposed on all three sides, with large double-height picture windows providing you with breath-taking panoramic views of the surrounding area and into the valley and the mountains beyond. A mezzanine area overlooks the living area, and is a perfect spot to quietly relax.

There are four spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms in total. The upstairs double bedroom has en en-suite bathroom with shower and WC, there is a 2nd bathroom with shower & WC and also a large family bathroom with bath shower and WC. Relaxing

The hot tub on the terrace is a fantastic place to unwind from a challenging day on the mountain! The main entertainment is the spacious living area with space for the whole groups and ever-changing views – perfect for a traditional evening of cheese fondue while the log fire crackles away to add to the authentic mountain atmosphere. The charming mezzanine in the rafters with an additional reading and seating area overlooks the living area. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, which tower 2000m over the Rhone Valley floor below. Large glass doors open onto the balcony area, providing stunning views from the table and chairs and somewhere to enjoy lunch or a coffee amongst the twittering birds in the warmer months. When the snow is falling, you can watch it drifting slowly past you, as it settles over the traditional village of Iserables across the nearby valley.

Winter

The free ski bus whisks you the 2km to the Savoleyres telecabin in a matter of minutes. The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

Summer

In the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts.  The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. 

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

The total price is composed of a one-off non-variable cost (per booking) to cover final cleaning, bed-linen & towels and other one-off fees, plus a nightly rental rate (per night) and nightly tourist taxes (per adult/child and per night), plus website fees (site-specific). This luxury four-bedroom, two bathroom chalet with sauna is a fantastic choice for a winter or summer holiday in the mountains.  Named after the Irish word for “Up high”, you will really feel as though you are perched up high on the mountainside, with jaw-dropping views across to the distant mountains and down to the valleys below.  It is facilitated for ski-in and ski-out access in winter, and is right next to the Maison de la Foret and its Five Senses Nature Trail in the summer with direct access to the start point of hundreds of kilometers of biking and hiking trails.  Ideal for couples, groups and families seeking a peaceful mountain retreat with the option for plenty of action-packed activities on the doorstep.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The apartment sleeps up to 8 people in the four bedrooms: two have double beds, one has twin beds and the other is fitted with two bunk beds. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, sink and WC. Downstairs on the living floor is a sauna and a second bathroom with shower, sink and WC.  If you wish to travel with children under 2 years old, just let us know and we will provide a cot and a high chair in your chalet.

Equipment

In the kitchen you will find all the basics: a fridge and an oven with hob. A kettle, microwave, toaster, electric filter coffee-machine, Nespresso coffee-machine plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. A hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use and there is a washing machine and dryer available for you to use. A ski-storage area with coat hooks provides the perfect solution to storing your ski equipment, ready for the next day.

Relaxing

The sauna downstairs is a real treat at the end of a hard day on the slopes.  Or you can choose to relax in the large living / dining area, watch the flat-screen TV or listen to music, or simply sit on the balcony and admire the beautiful panoramic views that face the apartment. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond. The chalet grounds border a forested area, which in summer fills the air with delightful birdsong.  Sitting at the garden table you can while away the hours watching the tiny cars far away in the valley as they hurry between appointments in the distant towns and cities.

There is space for one or two cars outside the chalet.  Winter tyres and/or snow chains necessary in winter due to frequent snowfalls and the requirement to cross the two metre-wide piste in order to access the steep chalet driveway.  Alternative parking is available 250m away, in a lay-by on the main road. This chalet is ski-in and ski-out. The footpath at the side of the road in front of the chalet is prepared and maintained for skiers during the ski season, allowing you the luxury of skiing the 400m to the main ski piste and down to the Savoleyres telecabin and also skiing back home at the end of the day.
